Rochester Mills Announces Return of the 12 Days of
Milkshake Stout

Popular Holiday Progressive Tap Takeover set for December 1-12 Across Michigan

(ROCHESTER, Mich) –

Michigan craft beer lovers, get ready to celebrate the holidays with the return of the 12 days of Milkshake Stout featuring beers from Rochester Mills Beer Co. The brewpub in downtown Rochester joins more than forty other select premium craft beer bars and restaurants throughout Michigan as a host location for this progressive tap takeover event, December 1-12, 2016. Admission is free and open to the public, ages 21 and up.

The progressive tap takeover event will feature (12) twelve specialty and limited edition varieties of Milkshake Stout, Rochester Mills’ best selling beer brand. Each night a new variety of stout will be tapped and stay on draft until the keg runs out. The “Flavor of the Day” will not be revealed until its tapped.  Rochester Mills representatives will be onsite on select nights handing out brewery swag at as many locations as possible. Guests have the opportunity to receive an invitation to a future beer release party at the Rochester Mills Production Brewery in Auburn Hills, Michigan.

“What began as a crazy idea to take twelve different versions of our Milkshake Stout to twelve bars over twelve days a few years back has grown into a holiday tradition,” said Rochester Mills Vice President of Brewing Operations Eric Briggeman.

Given the popularity and consumer demand for some of these beers, Rochester Mills released limited runs of select versions in 16 oz cans available in four-packs throughout the past year. Now, just in time for Christmas, they will be releasing a limited holiday edition 12-pack featuring one 16 oz can of each beer featured in this year’s 12 Days of Milkshake Stout promotion.

ABOUT MILKSHAKE STOUT (the Original):

The original Milkshake Stout is a sweet stout with 5.5% alcohol by volume. The combination of seven different malts, along with a low hop level (IBUs: 20) creates a deep dark beer featuring rich, sweet roasted flavors. The addition of lactose (milk sugar) adds complexity, body, and a residual sweetness lending a smooth creamy texture to this full-flavored brew. Once a Seasonal offering at the pub, the beer is now prominently featured year round and is the top selling Rochester Mills brand.
